Anne is a painter with an eclectic approach to materials and subject matter.
She began painting using watercolour paints which she still finds exciting and frustrating. The need for strong bright
colours lead to trying acrylics, then, painting on large canvasses, Anne discovered the pleasure of oils. She also
paints on silk and has flirted with computer generated art.
Having the freedom to do so, Anne paints whatever she feels like. Usually the subject is something to which she responds with a feeling of joy or wonder. This can be the energy or humour shown in human or animal behaviour; it
could be the way light falls on some scene or object.
Occasionally, it is the drama or the patterns and shapes found in nature that inspire a painting.
Anne has exhibited her work in many exhibitions. Her work can be found in private collections throughout the world.
